About Al Khalidi
Founded in 1978, Al Khalidi Hospital was the first private hospital in Jordan with the vision of reshaping healthcare in the region. Dr. Ibrahim Al Khalidi was the hospital’s first CEO and Medical Director, as a founder he began his journey with the hospital as an institution specialized in maternal care.
Over time, the vision grew to include a multi-specialty hospital with the best medical services and care in the private sector. Today, Al Khalidi is a 160-bed facility, with 7 operating rooms, 20 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and 5 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) beds hospital. The Emergency Room specializes in minor surgeries, cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and minor orthopedic surgery. Additionally, it includes an observation area that offers emergency services 24 hours a day with 3 ambulances..

Admission process
- If you are a referral patient, a patient referred from a physician’s clinic to the hospital, the staff will meet you at the admissions office and process your referral request.
- If you are a first-time patient at our hospital, the admissions office will collect your data,create your medical file and provide you with your patient profile number.
- Once all papers are signed and all financial terms are covered you will be escorted to your room by the concerned personnel.
- If you are a patient covered by insurance, the insurance department will ensure all required approvals are in place.
- If you are a patient with a scheduled operation, our customer care team will get in touch beforehand to collect all the required data and prepare all the documentation for admission. The customer care team will also provide you with all necessary instructions needed for the operation.
Companion Guidelines
At Al Khalidi Hospital we ensure the comfort of our patients and their companions.
Our internal policy guarantees that companions to patients of the below age groups get a comfortable stay:
– If the patient is 65 years or older a companion is requested to stay with them and will be provided with the appropriate sleeping arrangement and breakfast.
– If the patient is 14 years or younger a companion is requested to stay with them and will be provided with the appropriate sleeping arrangement as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner meals.Note: Companions outside the mentioned age groups will be charged a fee for sleeping arrangements.
Note: Companions whose meals are not included in their stay may request meals with an additional charge.

Discharge process
- Upon being approved for discharge by the treating specialist, all the required
documents needed to complete the medical file will be collected and sent to the accounting department. - After all accounting/ financial matters are completed, a receipt and release form will be issued for discharge. After which the customer care team will:
- Get the release form for discharge from the accounting department.
- Collect all required medication.
- Get the nurse’s approval on the release form for discharge.
- Collect all medical reports (if requested by the patient).
- Collect all laboratory and radiology reports (if any have been performed).
- Book a follow-up doctor’s appointment (if needed).
- Collect a discharge summary signed by the resident doctor.

Room Transfers
- Subject to availability and priority:
- The patient and the treating physician have the right to request a room change:
- The physician must submit a transfer request to commence all procedures.
- The nurse in charge will then process all required documentation and inform all relevant departments.
- The medical team will finalize all procedures with the relevant departments. They will then inform the treating physician and patient of the transfer details.

- The right to receive emergency medical care and treatment easily and promptly
- The right to receive care by health care providers who are qualified by education, training, and/or experience.
- The right to know the name of healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, and others involved in their care, as well as when those involved are students, residents, or other trainees.
- The right to be informed about the options and alternatives for care and treatment and to consider the patients or families choices and preferences.
- The right to receive information about the prescribed medication, how to use it, and the side effects
- The right to receive a referral when there is a clinical need.
- To receive proper information, instructions and education that would help them to participate in making decisions regarding their treatment and available
- To be fully informed about any requested information by Al Khalidi Hospital management or the medical care providers.
- To access information on the type of services provided at Al Khalidi Hospital and their quality assessment results
- The right to know the immediate and long-term financial implications of treatment choices, insofar as they are known.
- The right to have a clear billing statement, and to be informed about any additional costs linked to their treatment.
Patients and Family Responsibilities towards the Hospital

- To provide accurate and complete information about their health, such as: past illnesses, symptoms, medications, and family history.
- To follow health and treatment plans prepared by the health providers, and to comply with them completely.
- To respect the follow up appointment rules and the necessity of informing your doctor if, for any reason, you could not attend.
- Adhere to the hospital policies, such as security, safety, infection prevention and control measures.
- To inform the medical team about any unexpected changes in your health status.
- To be responsible for any complications arising from your refusal of any treatment.
- To respect the needs of other patients for a quiet and calm environment.
- To carry out instructions that will speed up the improvement of your condition.
- To abide by visitor policies, set according to Al Khalidi Hospital regulations, for the sake of patient privacy and safety.
- To strictly adhere to the rules of ICCU and other critical areas.
- To preserve Al Khalidi Hospital properties inside the rooms and at any place inside the hospital.
- To pay your invoices in full and in a timely fashion.
